The IHP is a member institute of the Wilhelm Leibniz association. The institute investigates and develops wireless communication technologies. IHP pursues interdisciplinary application-oriented research in the fields of high performance microelectronics and communication, particularly Materials Research, Technology Research, Circuit Design and System Design. There are almost 300 employees working at IHP from more than 20 countries.
